Brauz: Branding and launch campaign
Brauz is a retail tech start-up based in Brunswick, with a big ambition to save Australian physical retail stores. I was brought in to lead the design and marketing team and ensure the branding and visual communication for both B2C and B2B audiences.
In my time, we worked on incredible projects like; creating a VR interface to shop in a digital store, working with local illustrator/craft legend Beci Orpin to create POS collateral for our consumer campaign, and creating an experiential activation where we recreated a 15m-squared replica of hipster Brunswick in the middle of a Sydney retail expo.
My main role was creative direction for a campaign launch consisting of print ads, social, and experiential activations. Side note: I have to mention I was lucky to work with a great young copywriter, events producer, designers, and enthusiastic interns to roll out these deliverables in skinny budgets and super-tight timelines.
Running parallel to the marketing campaign was the build of the digital marketplace. My role here was to work alongside the development team to oversee the UX/UI of the app and website. Our process involved wire-framing, prototyping, user testing/interviewing, iterations, and launching – then repeating the cycle again and again for new sequential features to be added to each release.
