Melbourne Food Snobbery Society
At a time when black long sleeve shirts were printed with symbols of masculinity and glamourising drug culture, I saw a market segment which wasn’t being explored - our much-loved tradition of Melburnian food snobbery.
I created these tops as part of an art exhibition in the affluent bayside suburb of Williamstown. I packed the tops in a food take away container and unsurprisingly sold a total of 1.
Thanks to the great young Mesh Mash crew in Woods Street Arts Space for helping with the printing.
